GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Public Areas Crew Leader is responsible for supervising his/her assigned crew in the proper cleaning of the resorts public areas. Crew leaders are responsible for: training of Public Areas associates in cleaning procedures; proper maintenance and care of equipment; inspection of cleaned areas; and, efficient use of supplies and labor hours. Crew leaders may also be required to assist in the performance of other public areas cleaning responsibilities as directed by the Public Areas Manager. Personal appearance, professional conduct, and guest service skills are important.
SPECIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS/
Qualifications:
Must be willing and capable of supervising individuals to ensure assigned cleaning tasks are accomplished. Good oral and written communication skills. Flexibility in scheduling to meet the needs of the department and the resort. Acceptable driving record and skills to drive company vehicles. Able to efficiently manage use of cleaning supplies and labor hours.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Prolong standing and walking is required. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and must be able to operate electric and/or motorize equipment. Must be able to work outside for extended periods of time.
SPECIFIC DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITES:
Supervise associates and enforce cleaning standards.
Train new associates in cleaning procedures and equipment care.
Train and enforce safe work habits.
Ensure the appropriate management of resort keys.
Ensure the appropriate management and care of department radios and pagers.
Communicate with other departments and management regarding special needs or cleaning requests.
Conduct white glove inspections of assigned areas on a routine basis.
Communicate with Public Areas Manager regarding personnel issues, associate performance, special projects, etc.
Report any non-functioning equipment to Public Areas Manager.
Perform other duties or cleaning requirements as directed by the Public Areas Manager.
